SINNER Helps Celebrate Legendary Rockfabrik's 25th Anniversary
December 17, 2008German metal oufit SINNER (featuring PRIMAL FEAR members Mat Sinner and Henny Wolter) has issued the following update:
"We had a nice Sunday evening to top off a cool year for SINNER. The legendary Rockfabrik venue in Ludwigsburg, Germany had a 25-year anniversay party going — and since SINNER and the RoFa go waaayyy back, we were invited for a special performance of 'Germany Rock' right before the headliners VOLBEAT. The house was packed, we had had a few refreshments to honor the occasion, and, of course, we turned the song into 'Rockfabrik Rocks', which always produces a nice singalong. Since Henny had to stay home with his new baby, PRIMAL FEAR's Magnus [Karlsson, guitar] stepped in after having heard the song that afternoon for the first time. But...who cares, it's rock 'n' roll, not rocket science. So that was a very nice evening. And congratulations to the Rockfabrik from the SINNER boys!"

"Crash & Burn", the new album from SINNER (featuring PRIMAL FEAR members Mat Sinner and Henny Wolter),was released on September 19 in Germany via AFM Records (September 22 in the rest of Europe and October 13 in North America). The CD was produced by Mat Sinner and Henny Wolter at the House Of Music studios and features guest appearances by Dirty Sanchez (percussion),Dennis Ward (backing vocals, percussion) and Nena (backing vocals). The limited-edition digipack version of the album includes two bonus tracks — "One Night Only" (written by Mat Sinner and Magnus Karlsson) and "Fast Decision 2008" — and the video for the song "Revolution". According to a press release, "Fast Decision 2008" was "created under bizarre circumstances, as AFM Records A&R representant Markus and drummer Klaus forced Mat in the studio, to record a new version of the forgotten jewel again. Mat was irritated about their sick idea first, but after some shots of booze, Mat agreed to sing this song for one last time."
